David Wright reaggravated his hamstring injury after beating out an infield hit.

Wright was placed on the 15 day disabled list and Mike Baxter was recalled to take his spot on the roster. Wright is expected to miss 3-5 weeks.

This is a disaster as the Mets offense has badly struggled and now they’re losing their best player.

I would have called up Wilmer Flores to play second and move Daniel Murphy to third. The Mets may move Murph to third for a while but will likely just play Josh Satin at second until Wright returns.

Losing Wright looks like the final nail in the coffin for the 49-58, 2013 Mets.
