The Mets spring training complex is going back to its previous name that it had from 2004-2009. Starting this year again the Mets spring training site in Port St. Lucie Florida will be renamed Tradition Field. Over the past few seasons the complex was named Digital Domain Park.

The new naming-rights deal for the Mets’ spring training stadium will be worth $75,000 in 2013 to the team and county, and indexed for inflation through 2017 according Ken Belson of the New York Times. Digital Domain will no longer own the naming rights because they got into serious financial trouble.

Many Mets have already gone to spring training but the official report date is still February 11th.
