The World Baseball Classic rosters were announced today on MLB Network and as expected, Mets 3B David Wright will play for the U.S., Wright is the only third basemen on the roster so expect him to play a bulk of the games. Willie Bloomquist is on the roster as a utility man so he can spell Wright in a pinch. During the last WBC in 2009, Wright split time with Evan Longoria and Kevin Youkilis. Wright is the only Met that is playing for any roster.

Here is the total roster for the United States: The United States have arguably their best roster to date and have a good shot at winning it all.
